Earlier this season, the Ravens pulled off a surprising 5-2 victory over the Utes despite being heavily out shot. On Tuesday night, the Ravens looked to continue their winning ways against their second place opponents.

In the first period, Billy Storoniak (21) opened the scoring at the 12:57 mark for the Ravens. Holding a 1-0 lead in the second period, Brian Bump (3) boosted the Ravens lead to 2-0 with 13:47 remaining. Later in the period, Kevin Eck (3) found the back of the net to give the Ravens a commanding 3-0 lead after two periods. The Utes got on the board with 11:58 remaining in the third period on a centering pass, which was slapped home on the doorstep. With 3:25 remaining in the game, Storoniak (22) scored the dagger on a long wrist shot to put the Ravens up 4-1. Kevin Vey (7) and Mike Labella (1) tacked on two more goals in the final minutes to cap off another strong night for the men in green. Mark Baccoli stopped 24 of 25 shots in the game.

Ravens captains are in the process of appealing a lengthy suspension given to defenseman Joe Simpson, for an altercation with a referee in the second period.
